Fatih Terim has a tough trip to Norway to plan

Turkey pack reshuffled for Oslo

Monday 12 November 2007

With the UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying campaign reaching a climax on 17 and 21 November, uefa.com has the latest injury news affecting the competing nations.

A shoulder injury has forced Kayserispor midfielder Mehmet Topuz out of the Turkey squad for the Group C games against Norway and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Denizlispor's uncapped playmaker Yusuf Şimşek, 32, has been called in by coach Fatih Terim. Saturday's match in Oslo could decide which team makes it to UEFA EURO 2008™.

Tottenham Hotspur FC left-back Gareth Bale will play no part when Wales conclude their qualifying campaign against the Republic of Ireland and Germany, having pulled out of John Toshack's squad because of a foot injury. Only San Marino are below Wales, who cannot qualify, in Group D.

Azerbaijan's recently appointed coach Gjoko Hadzievski has decided against turning to a new face after midfielder Emin Guliyev withdrew from the squad to face Finland and Belgium. Azerbaijan are bottom of Group A.
